When to Use This Tool

Rearrange the page order in a PDF document. Drag pages into the correct position and download the reorganized file. All processing happens in your browser.

Page reordering solves the problem of documents that were scanned or assembled in the wrong order. Maybe a multi-page contract had pages added out of sequence, a report's appendix ended up before the introduction, or scanned pages got shuffled. Instead of re-scanning or re-creating the document, simply rearrange the pages.

The tool shows thumbnail previews of each page so you can identify and position them correctly. Drag and drop to reorder, then download the result. Page content, quality, and formatting are unchanged — only the sequence changes.

Common scenarios include fixing the order of scanned receipts for expense reports, reorganizing presentation slides in a PDF, arranging contract pages in the correct legal sequence, and moving a summary page to the beginning of a long document.

Things to Know

Reordering pages in a PDF with a table of contents will not update the TOC — the links will point to the wrong pages. Interactive form fields may lose their tab order after reordering. Digital signatures on reordered pages may become invalid.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reorder pages?

Upload your PDF, then use the move up and move down controls to rearrange pages into the order you want.

Is this the same as the rotate tool?

No. Rotating changes the orientation of pages (turning them 90° or 180°). Reordering changes the sequence in which pages appear in the document.

Can I reorder pages from different PDFs?

To reorder pages across different PDFs, first merge them into one document using the Merge PDF tool, then reorder the combined pages.

Does reordering affect page quality?

No. Pages are rearranged without any re-encoding. Content, formatting, and quality remain identical to the original.

Can I reverse all pages at once?

Currently pages must be reordered individually by dragging. For reversing a full document, drag each page to its mirrored position or use the tool to manually rearrange.

Does reordering affect page numbering?

PDF pages do not have inherent numbers. Any visible page numbers are part of the page content and stay with their page when reordered. Logical page order changes, but printed numbers do not.

Can I duplicate a page?

This tool rearranges existing pages. To duplicate a page, use the Split tool to extract it, then use Merge to add it back alongside the original.
