When to Use This Tool
Fix page orientation in your PDF documents by rotating pages 90, 180, or 270 degrees. Rotate individual pages or the entire document. All processing happens in your browser with no file uploads.
PDFs often end up with pages in the wrong orientation. Scanned documents may appear upside down or sideways, landscape photos saved as PDFs turn on their side, and mixed documents contain pages in different orientations. Instead of re-scanning, simply rotate the pages to the correct position.
The tool lets you rotate each page independently or apply the same rotation to multiple pages at once. Common rotation angles are 90° (quarter turn), 180° (flip), and 270° (three-quarter turn). Visual thumbnails help you identify which pages need rotation.
Use cases include correcting scanned contracts that were inserted backward, fixing sideways receipts from mobile scanning, adjusting landscape presentation slides in portrait documents, and standardizing page orientation in mixed-format reports before printing.

Things to Know
Encrypted PDFs cannot be rotated — unlock them first using the Unlock PDF tool. Some PDF readers ignore rotation metadata and display pages in their original orientation, particularly older viewers or certain mobile apps. Rotating pages changes their visual appearance but does not alter the underlying page dimensions. If a PDF is intended for double-sided printing, verify that rotation doesn't affect page sequencing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rotate specific pages only?
Yes. You can rotate individual pages or select multiple pages to apply the same rotation. Not all pages in a PDF need the same rotation angle.
What rotation angles are available?
You can rotate pages by 90°, 180°, or 270°. 90° rotates clockwise one quarter turn, 180° flips the page upside down, and 270° rotates counterclockwise one quarter turn.
Does rotating affect print quality?
No. Rotation changes page orientation without re-encoding content. Text, images, and formatting remain at their original resolution and quality.
Can I undo rotation?
Yes. If you rotate a page incorrectly, simply apply the opposite rotation. Rotating 90° clockwise then 90° counterclockwise returns the page to its original orientation.
Why do some PDFs have mixed orientations?
Mixed orientations occur when pages are scanned from different sources, when combining landscape images with portrait text, or when merging documents with different page layouts. This tool standardizes orientation.
Will rotated PDFs display correctly on all devices?
Most modern PDF readers respect rotation metadata and display pages correctly. Some older viewers or specialized software may ignore rotation and show pages in their original orientation.
